This ActiveX component provides facilities for file downloading for your applications.
This is a component that helps create Internet downloader applications. The component supports most of the transfer protocols including HTTP, HTTPS and FTP protocols. The end user thus will be able to just specify files to be downloaded and then simply wait until completion. Progress notification is through a progress bar and you know how much is done and what more needs to come in to the hard disk. The downloaded product package includes C# code sample for integration into your application. The interface this component generates is really simple to use and does not assume any tech expertise on the part of the user. The program can process a batch of files at a time. This should save you time and let you gain in productivity. The files get listed as you click on the “add link” button. If you make a mistake, the corresponding file could be removed easily through the “remove” and “remove all” buttons and start over.
When the batch list is complete you click on the “start download” button. The progress bar at the bottom of the interface will show download progress of each file. When the batch completes you will get a pop-up alert. The code includes error handling. It does not need winsock controls. Methods available with the tool include start, stop, suspend, resume and status to implement your application. Events notifications are available on events like OnProgress, OnStop, OnFileStart, OnFileFinish, OnFileCurrentSize, On File Error and OnDownloadSpeed, etc. This is a good product.
